Domínico Americano School promotes educational innovation in our Marketspace in partnership with Villa Campa School

After the inauguration of Domínico Americano School’s new Marketspace, an environment designed to foster practical learning in key technological areas, our talented teachers were trained in an advanced program conducted by experts from Villa Campa School, known for their focus on robotics, programming, and STEM.

Thanks to this training, teachers have acquired new knowledge in robotics and programming, which they are already enthusiastically sharing with our Cougars within the Marketspace. This space has become a key place for students to explore and develop technological skills, essential for their academic and professional growth.

In the coming weeks, more information will be shared with the educational community about this great experience our students are living, alongside our teachers and in collaboration with Villa Campa School.

High School Students Receive a Talk on the Risks of Substance Use During Safety Week

During Safety Week, a very important talk titled “Risks of Substance Use and Vaping Devices” was held, led by Dr. Edison Rodríguez for students in grades 8 through 12.

During the session, Dr. Rodríguez addressed the dangers associated with substance use and vaping, providing our youth with valuable information about the negative effects these can have on their physical and mental health. The students actively participated, asking questions and sharing their concerns, which created a collaborative and dynamic learning environment.

The talk not only emphasized the importance of making informed decisions but also provided students with key tools to resist social pressure and promote healthy lifestyles. Dr. Rodríguez highlighted how these decisions can have a lasting impact on the well-being of young people.

7th and 8th grade students participated in a talk about emergency assistance during Safety Week

Our 7th and 8th grade students had the opportunity to participate in the conference titled You are the Help, Until Help Arrives, presented by Dr. Chanel Reyes. This talk focused on the importance of knowing how to provide assistance in emergency situations before professionals arrive.

During the conference, the students learned valuable and practical techniques to act effectively in critical moments. Dr. Reyes shared her extensive experience in the field, offering advice on how to stay calm and properly assess an emergency situation.

We deeply appreciate Dr. Chanel Reyes for her dedication and for sharing her valuable knowledge with our students. We hope our young people carry these teachings with them to be better prepared in the future!
