Stories that Unite Us: Let the Bell of Freedom Ring inspires our students to find their own voice through art

As part of the project “Stories that Unite Us: Let the Bell of Freedom Ring,” students had the opportunity to meet with Irene González, a specialist in established leaders from the U.S. Embassy, and the renowned Dominican artist Rafael Alba. During the event, Alba shared his talent and inspiration, motivating young people to find their own voice through art.

This inspiring traveling exhibition uses the power of art to engage the public and generate meaningful conversations about freedom and democratic values. It was a day full of learning and creativity, where art played a central role.

The initiative brings together talented Dominican artists to express their personal interpretations of these themes through life-sized replicas of the United States Bell of Freedom.

During the activity, students painted their own bells as part of this enriching artistic experience, strengthening the connection between art and the universal values that define democratic societies.
