6th-grade students carry out a project on child protection
Our 6th-grade students proved that learning extends beyond the classroom when connected to topics relevant to their daily lives. In a recent project presentation, they creatively and thoughtfully addressed fundamental topics such as child protection, healthy friendships, and identifying warning signs in interpersonal relationships.
Using the metaphor of a traffic light, the students explained how to recognize different types of relationships they may encounter in their environment:
🟢 Green light: friends who respect, support, and provide a safe environment.
🟡 Yellow light: relationships that cause doubt or sometimes cross personal boundaries.
🔴 Red light: people who judge, disrespect, and make others feel inferior.
Each group presented their project to their peers and a panel of four teachers, who offered constructive feedback to enhance the learning experience. The event concluded with an award ceremony recognizing the three best groups, chosen from a total of sixteen participating teams.
We proudly celebrate the commitment, sensitivity, and clarity with which our students addressed these topics. These experiences not only strengthen their knowledge but also enhance their empathy, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
