11th grade students present their play launch inspired by Alice in Wonderland
The educational community experienced an unforgettable event with the launch of the 11th grade theatrical production, where student creativity and talent took center stage.
On this occasion, the students presented Alice in Wonderland, successfully transporting the audience to a world full of imagination and fantasy. Through their performances, the young actors not only showcased artistic skills on stage but also demonstrated a high level of commitment, passion, and teamwork.
The staging stood out for its careful production, attention to detail, and the dedication of each participant, highlighting the artistic potential nurtured within the institution.

Viajecito Criollo Fair celebrates Dominican identity with flavor and tradition 🇩🇴
On Thursday, February 26, as part of the commemoration of Dominican Independence Day, the “Viajecito Criollo” Fair was held—an event filled with culture, flavor, and national pride.
The initiative was organized by students of UNICDA’s Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Business Administration, who carefully attended to every detail to highlight the traditions, folklore, and joy that characterize the Dominican Republic. Through this experience, they managed to transport attendees on an authentic journey through the best of Dominican culture.
During the fair, visitors enjoyed a wide variety of gastronomic offerings, including fresh fruits, habichuelas con dulce, empanaditas, and chimis, as well as a display of handicrafts that filled the space with color, identity, and creativity.
The event also benefited from the valuable support of the School of Art and Culture, whose participation strengthened the purpose of showcasing and celebrating our roots, promoting recognition and appreciation of Dominican identity.
The “Viajecito Criollo” Fair was consolidated as a space for gathering, learning, and celebration, where culture was experienced in every flavor, every artistic expression, and every shared moment.

Our students excel in the VEX IQ Mix & Match robotics competition
Our students participated in the VEX IQ Mix & Match robotics competition, organized by Villa Campa, an event that brings together young talents in the field and opens doors to international competitions.
In this experience, students from 5th to 8th grade took part, supported by students from 9th to 11th grade as coaches, demonstrating a high level of teamwork, creativity, and innovation.
Three teams proudly represented our institution:

🔹 Los Robóticos – Think Award
🔹 Los Piratas – Create Award
The competition brought together educational centers from Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros, becoming an excellent opportunity for students to apply their skills, share knowledge, and celebrate robotics as a community.

Students celebrate Dominican identity with Carnival Gala
Within the framework of the commemoration of the Dominican Independence Day, students from 6th to 12th grade presented a colorful Carnival Gala dedicated to the school community, in which, through different artistic performances, they explored the historical and cultural roots that shape Dominican identity.
The presentation began with the students of 6th grade, who represented Taíno Culture, highlighting the traditions and legacy of the Taínos, the island’s first inhabitants. Afterwards, 7th grade interpreted the European Arrival, showcasing the impact of this cultural encounter on the history of Hispaniola.
The journey continued with 8th grade, who emphasized African Heritage, valuing the profound contributions of Africa to Dominican culture, music, and traditions. Meanwhile, 9th grade presented Living Mestizaje, an act reflecting the blending of cultures that forged the identity of the Dominican people.
The students of 10th grade brought to the stage The Voice of the People, a performance evoking the spirit, struggle, and cultural expression of the people of the Dominican Republic. Then, 11th grade surprised with Mystical World, an act full of symbolism inspired by traditions and fantastical elements present in carnival celebrations.
The gala culminated with the presentation of 12th grade, who offered the Carnival Gala, a vibrant finale that combined music, color, and creativity to celebrate one of the country’s most emblematic cultural expressions: the Dominican Carnival.
The activity allowed students to showcase their artistic talent while reflecting on the historical and cultural roots that shape the nation. In this way, the educational community celebrated national independence by recognizing the diversity and richness that define Dominican identity.
Choral Concert Tribute to the Homeland celebrates Dominican musical identity and tradition
In an emotional evening dedicated to national culture, the choral concert “Tribute to the Homeland” was held—a musical gathering that brought together distinguished choral groups to exalt the identity and traditions of the Dominican Republic. 🇩🇴
The concert featured the participation of the Julio Alberto Hernández Male Choir of the Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano, directed by Henry Cordero; the National Lyric Company of the General Directorate of Fine Arts, under the direction of Antonia Chabebe; and the Mixed Choir of the Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano, directed by Professor Viterbo Peña.
As hosts of the evening, the choirs of the Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano shared the stage with the prestigious national ensemble in a program that highlighted the richness of Dominican choral music, performing pieces that evoke the country’s history, culture, and patriotic spirit.
The event brought together music and culture enthusiasts in a memorable night where voices united to pay tribute to Dominican roots and celebrate the power of choral singing as an artistic and cultural expression.
The organizers thanked the audience for joining this special celebration, which reaffirms the commitment to promote and preserve Dominican culture through music.
A Valentine’s Day full of friendship, sweetness, and activities
Our students celebrated Valentine’s Day surrounded by smiles, hugs, and moments that will remain in everyone’s memory. It was a day marked by friendship, meaningful details, and shared joy, strengthening the bonds that unite us as a community.
The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and companionship, reminding us of the importance of cultivating respect, empathy, and the values that are an essential part of our identity.
In addition, our EVAIA Seniors organized a delightful Bake Sale that added a special touch of sweetness to the celebration. With initiative, creativity, and organization, they demonstrated leadership and an admirable team spirit in every detail of the event.

With enthusiastic participation and an atmosphere of closeness, the most recent edition of our Parents’ School Program was held— a space designed for connection, reflection, and the strengthening of the bond between families and school.
