We celebrated a “Spooktacular Halloween” at the Domínico Americano School!

This year, we experienced a Halloween celebration bursting with color, creativity, and fun in every corner of our school community. From our little Preschoolers dressed as adorable pumpkins to the Secondary students who arrived as ghosts, superheroes, and surprising characters, everyone showed incredible festive spirit.

The costumes stood out for being clever, entertaining, and in some cases, delightfully spooky! You could truly see the effort and imagination each student put into making this celebration unforgettable.

The day was filled with activities like trick-or-treating, games, laughter, and sweet moments shared among friends. It was an experience that fostered togetherness, creativity, and excitement among our students.

Domínico Americano School celebrates Cultural Diversity Week

Domínico Americano School celebrated its Cultural Diversity Week, an event that highlighted the richness of nations, their traditions, and the diversity that unites us as an educational community.

Throughout the celebration, students showcased vibrant cultural displays filled with color, rhythm, and pride in their roots, demonstrating the importance of recognizing and respecting the diverse identities that coexist in our environment. Each presentation became a cultural journey, allowing us to appreciate traditional attire, music, dances, and artistic expressions from various countries.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the students, teachers, and staff who made this wonderful cultural gathering possible. Their dedication and enthusiasm turned this celebration into a memorable moment for the entire DAS family.

The EVAIA ’26 Seniors celebrate their big kickoff with energy and Cougar spirit

With a burst of tropical colors, vibrant dances, and an enthusiastic performance, the EVAIA ’26 Seniors held their long-awaited kickoff celebration.

The event, attended by the entire school community and students’ families, marked the official start of their final school year. Amid applause and emotion, the Seniors delivered a show that reflected their joy, unity, and pride.

This launch symbolizes the beginning of a chapter filled with learning, achievements, and memories that will last far beyond the classroom. We extend our congratulations and best wishes for a final year full of success and unforgettable experiences.

12th grade students experience a week full of vocational guidance during Career Week 2025

From October 6 to 10, the Dominico Americano School held its highly anticipated Career Week 2025, a week dedicated to university and professional exploration for senior students.

Over the course of four days, students welcomed visits from renowned national and international universities, as well as alumni who shared their academic and professional experiences. Participating institutions included Universidad de Navarra, Universidad del Atlántico, PUCMM, INTEC, UNIBE, BARNA, CHAVÓN, UDIT España, Smith College, and UNICDA, along with Tecnológico de Monterrey, which offered a specialized workshop.

The week also featured a U.S. university fair and a financial education talk, providing students with valuable tools for their academic and personal future.

The invited alumni, including Bryant G. Ramírez, Luz Alicia Pascual, Mariene Veras, and Liz Marie Tejeda, inspired the EVAIA Seniors ‘26 to pursue their goals with determination and confidence.

Career Week 2025 reaffirms the school’s commitment to the comprehensive guidance of its students, supporting them in the process of discovering their interests, talents, and career paths.

Dominico American School Celebrates Safety Week with Various Talks and Activities

In September, we celebrated Safety Week, an educational event dedicated to fostering responsible habits and caring for the health and well-being of the entire school community. During this week, students participated in a variety of activities and talks designed to raise awareness and strengthen knowledge in key areas of safety and health.

The activities included:

Getting to Know the Ambulance, where students learned about medical emergency care.

Oral Hygiene Prevention, promoting healthy habits from childhood.

Excessive Use of Technology, reflecting on the balance in digital consumption.

Road Safety, teaching responsible norms and behaviors on the road.

Financial Education, with practical tips for money management.

Eating Well and Healthy, promoting balanced nutrition.

Sports Talks, encouraging physical activity and integral well-being.

Earthquake Emergency Drill, preparing students to act safely in risk situations.

Thanks to these initiatives, students were able to learn in a practical and fun way, strengthening their knowledge about how to take care of themselves and others, and fostering a culture of prevention and responsibility within the school.
