Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy for the Western Hemisphere, Kerri Hannan, visits the  Instituto Cultural Domínico Americano

Our institution received a visit from the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy for the Western Hemisphere, Ms. Kerri Hannan, with the purpose of learning about the history, structure, academic offerings, and future plans of the units that comprise the ICDA.

Subsecretaria Hannan was received by engineer Ramón Sosa, Executive Director of ICDA, and Mr. Leonardo Santoni on behalf of the Board of Directors. She had the opportunity to meet the institution’s leadership team, as well as the different areas that comprise it: the renovated Patrick N. Hughson Auditorium, the Student Plaza, the Lincoln Library, the EducationUSA Office, the American English Lounge, the Makerspace, the Podcast Studio, among others.

Similarly, the meeting was attended by Janel Heird, Public Diplomacy Officer for the Dominican Republic; Timothy Brown, Acting Public Affairs Counselor; Alexander López, English Programs Coordinator; and Joshabel de la Cruz, Emerging Voices Specialist from the United States Embassy in Santo Domingo.

From the institution, also participating were Dr. Laura Reyes, Academic Vice-Rector of the Domínico American University (UNICDA); Linda Mauad, Director of the Domínico American School; Robert Valcin, Director of the Language School; Karlans Camacho, Coordinator of Continuing Education and the Teacher Development Center; and Alicia Carlo, Customer Relationship Administrator.
