Candlelight Ceremony: A Tradition of Wisdom and Hope

Yesterday, our school community gathered for the traditional Candle Ceremony, a significant event that honors the transmission of knowledge and values from one class to the next. The 12th-grade students proudly passed a candle to the 11th-grade students, symbolizing the light of wisdom and the enduring spirit of the Domínico Americano School 🕯️📚. This sincere gesture represents not only the transfer of academic knowledge but also the core values that our school cherishes.

In an emotional display of gratitude, the future juniors presented a white rose 🤍 to the seniors. The white rose symbolizes hope and the promise to uphold the responsibilities and ideals entrusted to them. This exchange highlights our students’ commitment to carrying on the legacy of excellence and integrity that defines the Domínico Americano School.

The Candle Ceremony is more than just a tradition; it’s a celebration of the unity and shared purpose of our educational community. It’s a reminder of the ongoing journey of learning and personal growth that each student undertakes.

This unforgettable event underscores the bonds that unite our students, fostering a sense of belonging and shared mission. As we look towards the future, we are confident that the light of wisdom and the spirit of hope will continue to guide our students in all their endeavors.
